The extended forecast through the July 4th Holiday Weekend is looking near-perfect. A front coming through now will clear out the humidity, bringing clear sunny skies and refreshing temperatures. If you've not yet made plans to visit the GA-NC-TN mountains, you still have time to enjoy this week! Forecast for Unicoi TN is sunny and mild, lows in the 50's and highs in the mid-80's. Up on Unaka and Roan Mtn. those highs will stay in the 70s!
For Highlands NC and the high peaks of GA and NC, look for mostly sunny days in the 70's, also with nightly lows in the 50's. Of course up on Mount Mitchell and Clingmans Dome, those temps may feel downright chilly. Sweatshirts in July, gotta love it!! It's absolutely perfect camping, hiking, golf, biking and fishing weather . . . . get out in the mountain outdoors this week and enjoy.
